
This behemoth was not caught with a rod and a reel but with a net. It is definitely the largest lake trout caught in Canada. Weighing in at 84 lbs this this lake trout is 20 lbs over the previous Canadian record for lake trout according to this fishing record site.
It was caught near the community of Délįne, located in the Sahtu Region (I’ve never heard of it either) of the Northwest Territories on the western shore of Great Bear Lake and is 544 km northwest of Yellowknife. I wonder what other monsters are up there…

This fish has the same markings as the fish “Netted” by a man 21 of July and also has the exact same trailer in the background. Very Curious!!!!
