Apparently someone employed by Coca-Cola thought it would be a good idea to carbonate milk. Trials of the new product have already started last month in New York. This new beverage contains skimmed milk, sparkling water, fruit, and cane sugar. One of the guys from Coke claimed that it tasted “like a birthday party for a polar bear” which paints a messed up picture. It will be coming out in four natural flavors: mango peach, berry, tropical colada, and citrus. The drink has since been nick named ‘fizzy milk’ but is officially called ‘Vio’.
This odd drink is available at natural food stores in New York. Vio comes in an 8-ounce “aluminum bottle” and does not require refrigeration (Not a good thing).
The drink is part of a wider Coke initiative called Project Life which aims to develop milk-based products.
Even though this creation doesn’t really sit right with me it seems to be getting good reviews as far as taste goes.
